When Dundee-based architects Jon Frullani wanted to refurbish their own Grade B listed office and architecture practice, they turned to international flooring specialist Gerflor to supply a world class solution. 250m2 of their Creation 70 LVT Dryback vinyl flooring in ‘Deep Forest’ was chosen and installed at their offices, the décor has completely enhanced the renovation project. The LVT flooring has been used throughout the practice including the offices, communal areas including corridors, staff break-out areas, recreation space and the kitchen.

Prior to this it was an interior design showroom and most recently a restaurant. The property has now been fully renovated to accommodate our growing architecture practice.”
Jon Frullani further commented, “We specified Creation 70 LVT from Gerflor as it was the most suited product for our bespoke requirements. The specific design chosen was Deep Forest. It was sympathetic to the muted interior, and it tied in with the original flagstone floor at the entrance and exposed stone wall in the primary office space. In fact, there is not one level floor in the entire building and the Creation 70 LVT has coped very well in this challenging situation.” On specification, Jon Frullani also said, “A key consideration for the product specification was how well it would perform with heavy traffic. The practice required a hard wearing and durable solution due to high footfall with the general office environment. The installation of the Gerflor flooring was also extremely smooth and trouble-free.”

Creation 70 LVT is a synthetic, decorative, flexible, antistatic abrasion group T floorcovering available in tile or plank, with bevelled edges. It consists in a 0.70 mm thick transparent wear layer, a design film, and a Resilient Comfort Core to provide softness and comfort surface. The overall thickness is 2.5 mm. It benefits from a cross-linked polyurethane surface treatment (PUR+ MATT), so that maintenance is even easier and eliminates the need for initial polishes. Creation 70 LVT is made with phthalate free plasticizers. It is 100% recyclable and made with 35% of recycled content and is 100% compliant with REACH. The product emission rate of organic compounds is < 10µg/m3 (TVOC <28 days – ISO 16000-6).
Creation 70 LVT dryback installed at Frullani Architects provides the perfect solution on prepared subfloors and is ideal for new projects. Available in 63 designs the Dryback format is available in 10 assorted sizes with many designs having bevelled edges and embossed finishes for added realism.
