The Cornwall Fire, Rescue and Community Safety (CFRCS) Service is responsible for a wide range of services that help make the Royal Duchy safer. They focus on 3 key pillars, firstly to improve the health, safety and wellbeing of people and places most at risk. Secondly to protect businesses, people, the local economy, and environment. Finally, to deliver an effective and efficient emergency response and support recovery. They are the statutory fire and rescue service covering Cornwall.
Bodmin Community Fire Station is a day staffed station with emergency response being provided by two watches (Orange Watch and Green Watch) plus an on-call crew. The thirty personnel at the fire station regularly engage in site visits including fire safety awareness talks for many clubs, schools and rehabilitative groups with the firefighters also supporting the annual Bodmin Half Marathon. There are five various appliances which deal with a variety of incidents, from the norm’ of fires right through to RTC’s, line rescue and heavy animal rescue.
When the fire station needed a hardwearing, hygienic, and safe flooring solution for their fitness room and gym, they turned to international flooring specialists Gerflor.
