Swansea Council has transformed the support it delivers to pupils either outside or at risk of leaving mainstream education by building a brand new £9.64M school. When ‘scoping-out’ the project Swansea Council in conjunction with the contractor, would specify over 2000m2 of Gradus carpet tiles for the flooring element of the project. They would ultimately opt for the ‘Streetwise Design and Stratus designs for the school’s classrooms, corridors and communal areas.
Cockett (Pupil Referral Unit) PRU school now provides staff and pupils with attractive and functional facilities all on one site, replacing several previously outdated accommodation units. The development was funded by Swansea Council and the Welsh Government under the 21st Century Schools and Colleges Programme and was built by Kier Construction.

Streetwise Design is suitable for a wide range of environments including commercial offices and education.
Stratus from Gradus is a tufted loop pile carpet tile produced with ECONYL regenerated solution dyed nylon yarn. The range is available in 12 colours and offers a durable and practical solution for commercial office and education environments.
