Gerflor UK has supported the Rangers Charity Foundation with the donation of 80m² of Tarasafe Ultra HOP safety vinyl flooring, helping to refurbish a busy meeting room at Rangers’ training ground.
Coordinated with support from The Bell Group, the refurbishment forms part of the Foundation’s ongoing work to create opportunities for people across the community through education, health, wellbeing and engagement programmes. The meeting room is regularly used by schoolchildren attending training sessions, alongside Foundation staff and visitors. With frequent footfall and the movement of furniture, the flooring needed to provide durability, slip resistance and straightforward maintenance. Installed in the Obsidian design, Gerflor’s Tarasafe Ultra HOP offered a practical solution. Its adhesive-free, loose-lay installation allowed the project team to work within a limited refurbishment window, minimising disruption and enabling the room to return to use quickly. Lewis Main, Quantity Surveyor at The Bell Group, explained; “We selected Gerflor because of the quality of its flooring and the service we have received on previous projects. The main challenge was the limited installation window, as the room needed to be handed back to the Foundation quickly.” The completed refurbishment has provided a durable, easily maintained surface that supports the room’s varied everyday use, while helping to create an improved environment for the Foundation’s community programmes. Maggie Smith, Scotland Regional Sales Manager and Specification Manager at Gerflor, added; “This was a rewarding project for Gerflor to support. The Tarasafe Ultra HOP safety vinyl provided a practical solution for the installation programme and the everyday demands placed on the room.” To read the full press release, please click here. |
